Wood-Mizer is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Wood-Mizer Web site and governs data collection and usage. By using the Wood-Mizer website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

About This Policy (New Zealand)

This privacy policy governs the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by Wood-Mizer New Zealand Limited (NZBN: [NZBN], Unit 2/80 Gargan Road, Tauriko, Tauranga 3171, New Zealand) in respect of individuals in New Zealand. Our handling of your personal information is governed by the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ). The Office of the Privacy Commissioner (www.privacy.org.nz) is the independent regulator responsible for overseeing compliance with the Act. If you are accessing Wood-Mizer from outside New Zealand, different laws may apply — please refer to the privacy policy of your local Wood-Mizer entity.

This policy was last updated on 15/06/2026 (Version 1.1). We will notify registered account holders of any material changes by email.

Collection of your Personal Information

Wood-Mizer collects personal information only where it is necessary for a specific, lawful purpose connected with our business activities (as described below). We will not collect more information than is necessary for that purpose, and where a purpose does not require you to be identified, we will not require you to provide identifying information.

Wood-Mizer collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. Wood-Mizer also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your postcode, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites.

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by Wood-Mizer. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by Wood-Mizer for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Wood-Mizer Web site.

We generally collect personal information directly from you. In some cases we may receive information about you from third parties — for example, where you interact with our content on a social media platform, or where a dealer refers your enquiry to us. We also receive information about your online behaviour from third-party tools including website analytics and advertising network providers (see Cookies and Tracking Technologies below). Where this constitutes indirect collection of personal information, we will take reasonable steps to notify you as required by IPP 3A of the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through Wood-Mizer public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. Note: Wood-Mizer does not read any of your private online communications.

Wood-Mizer encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to link to from Wood-Mizer so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. Wood-Mizer is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the Wood-Mizer and Wood-Mizer family of Web sites.

Use of your Personal Information

Wood-Mizer collects and uses your personal information to operate the Wood-Mizer Web site and deliver the services you have requested.

Where you have purchased from us or made an enquiry, we may use your contact details to send you information about our products, promotions and news that we believe may be of interest to you. We rely on your consent for direct marketing — obtained at the time you provide your details. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us at compliance@woodmizer.com.

Wood-Mizer does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. We share your personal information with the following categories of third parties, and only to the extent necessary for the stated purpose:

  • Delivery service providers — to arrange fulfilment of your order;
  • Email marketing platform providers — to send transactional or marketing emails (where consented);
  • Payment processors — to process payment transactions;

All third-party recipients are prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than the services they provide to us.

Wood-Mizer does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.

International Transfers of Personal Information

Some of the third-party service providers we use are based outside New Zealand, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer personal information overseas, we take steps to ensure the recipient provides comparable privacy safeguards to those required under the Privacy Act 2020.
